Get Moving Challenge Week 1: Get Checked Out

Decrease your risk of disease and illness by having a regular check-up with your GP or specialist.

What is a health check?

A health check is an examination of your overall current state of health and wellbeing, often carried out by your GP. As we age we become more susceptible to illness and disease. In order to reduce this risk, a number of screening tests or health checks are recommended at different stages of our lives.

Quit Smoking

At CFA support to quit smoking is available to all members.

Why quit?

Smoking harms almost all of the organs in your body, reduces general health and can cause fatal diseases such as: cigarette_1.jpg

Welfare Services Awareness Training

Background:

One in five people have mental health issues in our community. Stress affects many people. The CFA knows that from time to time CFA volunteers and paid personnel will develop an emotional response to an emergency event. And sometimes they will not cope well with exposure to these types of events, as well as the added pressures from their personal life.
