Ways we can help

To get the team up and ready for your event, we can:

  • Sponsor the teams with registration and event entry fees
  • Provide participants with branded SES Health and Safety t-shirts or sweat towels to use on the day of the event

Unit initiatives in 2014

Throughout the year, the Health and Wellbeing team have been supporting SES members in their efforts to raise health awareness in their local areas. Here are a few of our favourites from 2014:

Melbourne Marathon

Members of the Monash and Footscray units have pulled up their socks and participated in the Melbourne Marathon in early October.

Melbourne Bupa Round the Bay

Mark Prince, Shane Frost, Chris Patton, James Shuter, and Will Sartain from the Northcote Unit have been busily preparing themselves for the Bupa Ride Round the Bay over the last 12 months with weekly Healthwatch fitness cycling activities. ‘The Northcote members completed the event and then still needing more exercise, rode either to their homes or back to the Unit Headquarters!’ – Chris Patton, Northcote SES member

Beechworth Bakery Bike Ride

The Tour de Beechworth Bakery offers the chance to enjoy some of the most stunning scenery in Victoria whilst enjoying the pro-cyclist life. All they had to do was ride: their luggage, meals, mechanics, and accommodation were all provided! The event supported the great work of the SES and helped to raise awareness of this great service.
